A graduate of Grand Valley State University, founder Devon Bessemer brings nearly two decades of experience in developing software for both small businesses and large enterprises, including leading key development initiatives at Rocket Mortgage over the last five years.

Based in Mid-Michigan, bessemer&co leverages this expertise to help Michigan businesses grow and thrive in an ever-changing technology focused landscape.

Originally from Midland, Devon and his wife returned to the area after several years in Detroit. They now reside in Sanford with their two sons. Their family has deep connections to many small businesses in the area and want to continue to see small businesses in the Great Lakes Bay Region succeed.

The Name

bessemer&co was chosen to honor the founder’s distant relative, Sir Henry Bessemer—a visionary inventor and trailblazer of the late Industrial Revolution. His groundbreaking advancements in steelmaking not only transformed manufacturing but also set new standards for innovation and industrial progress.
